The Lacroix Collection by Nathan E. Hill
The Lacroix Collection is one of four original commode sets to date by award winning cabinetmaker Nathan E. Hill. This collection is constructed from a careful selection of American black walnut, walnut crotch veneers, and olive-ash burl veneers. The legs and fretwork are hand-shaped, the inlays handcut, and the finishes are a passionate blend of tung oil and varnish hand-rubbed to perfection. These pieces are constructed with such old world craftsmanship as dovetail and mortise-and-tenon joinery, faceted with antique reproduction hardware, and individually signed by the cabinetmaker for recognition in centuries to come. This collection has been exhitbited at shows and is available for $10,000 US dollars plus shipping.
